A Chat from the Sewing Room
This week is planned as a refresher for the sewing course from spring. Since all the women in the sewing course are otherwise very active in the A2B center, the sewing machines have unfortunately stood idle. But with much joy, production of pouches and bags resumes. What makes it a bit more challenging is that new people who have no knowledge of sewing want to join. This makes it difficult to meet everyone’s needs.

A clarifying conversation helped, and now we’re on a good path to continue.

The idea is for the sewing group to produce various items that can be sold at the market in Elbasan, helping support the A2B charity. To reach Swiss standards, more practice is needed, especially to get ‘straight seams’!

What moves me again and again is the immense gratitude and joy over our presence. They enjoy the time we spend with them and that we share our skills.

This sentiment is confirmed in all the courses, often with tears in their eyes. Therefore, I can say that this week in Elbasan was more than worth it.
