Monday morning, the start of a new week full of new insights and experiences awaits us. The morning began with a hearty and healthy breakfast at our hotel in the center of Elbasan, before we were picked up shortly after half past eight and driven to the “Hope for Future” facility.

Upon our arrival, the helpers greeted us with great anticipation, after which final arrangements were made for the upcoming lessons so that we could start the week together on time with Adrian's welcome. After a brief introduction to iSTEP by Adrian, the children divided into their respective groups. The younger children spent the day with Nadine in the Creative Course, while the adults disappeared into the conservatory, where they continued their sewing with Hanna. Detailed information about these two courses will follow in upcoming posts. The older children worked with the programming language Scratch. The children had already spent several weeks during the summer holidays learning the basics of Scratch independently through self-study.
Um regelmässig Fragen zu beantworten, standen ihnen jeweils Sonntagabends unsere Team-Member aus Albanien für Fragen zur Verfügung. Diese Möglichkeit wurde auch immer wahrgenommen und es entstanden spannende Diskussionen, wodurch das Interesse aller Anwesenden geweckt wurde. Um alle anwesenden Kinder auf den gleichen Stand zu bringen, führten wir einen Refresher zu den erarbeiteten Themen durch. In den kommenden Tagen werden die Kinder noch weitere Elemente von Scratch kennen lernen und am Ende ein eigenes Projekt realisiert haben. Den Abend wurde traditionsgemäss im Stammlokal beendet, wo wir kulinarisch verwöhnt wurden. Interessiert was weiter in dieser Woche passiert?
